    Description

    Here is a beautiful Marblehead Pottery decorated vase designed by Hennessey and executed by Tutt with a design of a zig zag ivy with brown stems and blue leaves against a matte speckled gray ground. The interior is a glossy clear showing through to the red clay.  The pottery was founded in Massachusetts by Dr Herbert Hall, run by Arthur Baggs, and dates to about 1915.   It measures about 3 inches tall and 4 7/8 inches in diameter at the widest.  It is in great condition with no chips, cracks, repairs, or firing flaws.  Marked on the bottom with their die-stamped MP ship mark and faintly the initials HT above the mark.  A fine piece of New England Arts & Crafts art pottery.  If you have any questions please click on our username or visit our store page and feel free to email through the gallery or call Jim Messineo at JMW Gallery.
