Doctor's Bag, Leather, Antique, Leather Tab & Brass Closure, Unlocked, No Key

Description

This antique leather doctor's bag (see photo #1) is in good condition. The inside of the bag is also in good condition & has a loose leather lining on the bottom. There is minor scuffing on the bottom and also some scuffing around the handle, on the closure tab, and on the back (see photos #8-11). The right-hand corner of the bottom reinforcement needs re-stitched (see photo #9), but can be repaired. The bag is adorned with a leather and brass tab closure (see photos #2 & 3) and six brass "feet" on the bottom (see photo #4). One handle has two worn places on it (see photo #7). Photo #11 shows the inside of the bag with the leather liner & photo #12 shows the inside of the bag without the leather liner. The closure works, bag is unlocked, but there is no key. The bag measures 11 x 18 x 6 inches and is made of genuine top grain cowhide.
Except for re-stitching the one corner reinforcement, this bag, in it's authentic used condition (it has character), could be used as an overnight bag and would be a unique fashion statement. Or it could be repaired to near-new condition by having the leather re-dyed and buffed.
