    Description

Beautiful old Asian porcelain centerpiece/fern bowl featuring peonies.
While we call this a centerpiece bowl today, this type of bowl was used by Victorians as fern bowls/pot.
I have no idea as to how old this is or who made it (though there is some kind of blue mark on the bottom under the glaze, it is unreadable).  You can see the shadow of your hand, in the white areas, through this bowl when it is held up to light.  There is some moriage work around the peony medallions...see pictures.
It is in very nice pre-owned condition.  The only thing I see is one very tiny area on the top that is an indentation but still has the gold from the gold trim over it.  I only mention that for full disclosure and that you should look at the pictures.  There is wear to the gold handles from use over the years -- see pictures.
This interesting bowl measures approx. 5 1/2" tall, 7 1/2" in diameter without the handles and about 10 1/2" long including the handles.
I have washed it and it is clean and ready to be used.
Please check out all the pictures provided carefully as they are part of the description and show the item and its condition.  You are getting the item shown, as shown, as is.
If you have any questions please ask.  Do allow me time to respond as I am not always on the computer.
My items are from estates, auctions, consignors and other such venues.  They are not new.
I am very fussy about what I offer on ebay.  I tell you everything I know about an item and what I see.  However, I am not an expert in anything.
PayPal is accepted and I only ship to confirmed addresses within the continental United States.  All shipping includes tracking and USPO insurance.  I package very well.  In case of damage the buyer agrees and is responsible to open the claim with the USPO for reimbursement.  This can be done by taking the item and its packaging to the USPO or going to the USPO site on-line.
    Thank you.
