    Description

Antique Ikebana 13.5" tall woven vase. Circa year 1900.
The family vase is woven of four thicknesses of smooth surfaced bamboo strips. With four thicknesses, it holds its shape without having been woven over an insert.
The vase has a combination of woven
patterns and texture with the typical Japanese style finish to the rim.
A braided decorative design is attached across the front only.
The base is woven in a chrysanthemum spoke pattern, found in many antique Japanese
    bowls and vases.
    13-1/2" tall.  10" base diameter.
